“Our journey in the wine industry began in 1993 as wine agents in Ontario, Canada.
With over 25 years of experience and after meeting and realizing many relationships with leading winemakers, our commitment to develop and produce reasonably priced wines was born.
Today, we are proud to enforce that commitment with the introduction of Frankie and Johnnie Wines… a showcasing of our passion for great products.
We have sought out and developed unique styles from popular varietals carefully sourced from select international countries and regions.

LODI, CALIFORNIA
CABERNET SAUVIGNON
This Lodi Cabernet has rich berry fruit with oak and vanilla notes. With hints of baking spices, it reminds one of a mouthwatering berry pie, tasty crust and all! It has a medium body and gentle tannins making for very pleasurable wine drinking. Just right!

CHARDONNAY
This wine is pale gold in colour with a vanilla and tropical fruit aroma, a full citrus and butterscotch flavour with a full-bodied finish. Pairs well with Salad Greens with Toasted Pine Nuts, Dates with Honey, Lightly Spiced and Peppered Roasted Chicken, and seafood such as Cod, Tilapia, and Shellfish.

PINOT NOIR
This Pinot expresses big fruit and ample richness for the varietal. The nose pops with lots of floral tones, cherry, raspberry and hints of blackberry. The blackberry notes, from the blended Zinfandel, gives this wine its distinct Lodi character. The palate is soft and round, with good weight for the varietal, yet still maintains the gentle acidity in the mid-palate that is distinctly Pinot.

CABERNET SAUVIGINON
RESERVE
This robust, age-worthy Cabernet Sauvignon comes out of the bottle with powerful aromas of cocoa, cedar and limestone. These vibrant aromas are but a prelude to lush, elegant flavors of blueberry, raspberry, milk chocolate, mocha, vanilla and black pepper. A silky smooth mouth-feel belies the original boldness of this wine and is followed by fine tannins, a full, round texture, and a long, lingering finish.

The nose welcomes with fresh citrus fruit perfume and the palate responds with vibrant lemon-lime, yellow pear, peach and a touch of minerality with citrusy fruit and a touch of rounded honey flavour on the finish.

Youthful dark ruby in color, the seductive and intriguing nose offers classic cassis and black cherry notes with hints of vanilla, allspice, and anise. The aromas continue to draw you back. Black cherry flavors are reined in with a vibrant, focused and lively structure. Tannins are modest and appropriate. The wine clearly has great longevity and will continue to grow and reward with time.

Avoiding overtly tropical or fruity notes, the wine always dances among the mineral, toasted hazelnut, lemon zest and tart apple that we relish in Chardonnay. A tantalizing hint of light gold introduces you to the wine. Always complex structured and lively, the wine finishes with an intriguing mélange of aromas and a bit of grip to keep the wine refreshing and focused.

BRUNELLO DI MONTALCINO
Brilliant, garnet red, good intensity with slight garnet/orange reflections. Hints of violets, cherries, spices (cinnamon, cloves), black pepper, leather. The taste is dry, full, supple, suitably tannic and balanced with generous body.

BAROLO
Brilliant, garnet red of good intensity with slight garnet/orange reflections. Ethereal, intense and persistent sensations, with hints of violets, cherries, spices (cinnamon, cloves), black pepper, leather. Dry, full, supple, balanced, of generous body, suitably tannic, with persistent and intense retro-olfaction that brings you back to the perceived olfactory sensations.
